Reflective photo of the past

I've always had a weird attachment to this photograph of the Texaco station in the 1950's. It's a rather famous image that I'm fairly sure most people have seen.

I had gone back to the Midwest with some friends for a brocation and we happened to end up in Milwaukee Wisconsin to see a friends band play. The show was epic the line up was (The Drams, Two Cow Garage, Glossary, and Grand Champeen). We partied and ended up getting a motel room for the night when we woke the next day everything was blanketed in white. A huge blizzard was busy passing through and it looked as if it would not let up for a long time.

We ended up getting breakfast at the Denny's across the street from the motel and that is where I encountered this photo again. I had to shoot a picture of it to pay homage to my liking of the image and how at one time I really wanted own it. We were stuck in Milwaukee for the entire day and one more night. It was an awesome little piece of Midwest drinking good friends and shitty weather.
